Tending the Mind of Love
A day-long retreat to awaken our hearts through meditation, reflection and creative play
We all have the seeds of wisdom, joy and love within but how often do we take care of them? So often crisis and complacency take over. And when there is time for "self-care" our energy can get distracted by short-term pleasures that still leave us hungry. This day-retreat is an opportunity to tend to what matters most - the goodness that is already within.
Let your heart rest and shine through guided practices of meditation, creativity (writing, music and art), movement and more. You will only need to be on screen for about half the time to avoid Zoom fatigue. I will also send out a recorded, guided meditation for those who wish to add a practice to make this a full day retreat.
All are welcome - no experience required.

Copper Beach Pride Month
June is Pride month in many parts of the world, a time of celebration and connection for much of the LGBTQIA+ community. In the wake of Covid-19, even with the vaccine, joy is hard to access for many. Yet the queer community has always known the value of a celebration, no matter what, for joy is not a luxury. It's a necessity. The Buddha's teaching of mudita (unconditional joy) offers practical tools to grow the kind of joy that can be accessed by anyone, at any time, and anywhere - from a Pride parade to a dinner table.
This evening's gathering will include a guided meditation, a teaching on joy and time for written and community reflection.
Bring something to write with and a cup of tea.
